The Local Organizing Committe, on behalf of SCANVAC (Scandinavian Federation of Heating, Ventilating and Sanitary Engineering Associations), has the pleasure to invite you for ROOMVENT 2014, that will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, in October, 2014. New technologies applied to buildings and airplanes and ventilation strategies aimed at reducing the consumption of energy, passive houses and zero emission buildings.
However, through a comprehensive overview of the concept of addressing indoor spaces defined and occupied by individuals in general in the movement and air exchange have a critical role in comfort, health and safety of human beings, as well as efficiency energy and sustainability of buildings.
Thus, besides the effects and modeling of physical and chemical phenomena involved in this biological context it will be discussed as constructive aspects of buildings and vehicles, their systems and HVAC control and interaction between interior and exterior spaces. The workshop will be presented on the ASHRAE Chapter in Brazil.
The ROOMVENT 2014 Conference will offer scientists and academics, business professionals like consultants, engineers and architects together with policymakers, a platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge and technical solutions. The conference will also provide the opportunity to view the state-of-the-art technologies, to interact with others and to work together for the benefit of the indoor environment and energy performance of buildings and airplanes.
Taking in consideration the importance of the aeronautical Brazilian industry and its wishes to contribute significantly for a better aircraft interior environment, the organization of the ROOMVENT 2014 decided to implement this theme to those usually treated in the conference:
- Indoor Air Quality and Human Comfort;
- Ventilation and Air Conditioning in green buildings;
- Innovative Strategies and components for ventilation and air conditioning;
- Computer based design methods applied to room ventilation;
- Airflow inside buildings and case studies;
- Smoke and Contaminant Movement;
- IAQ in vehicles.
On behalf of the whole Organizing Committee, we warmly invite you to join us in economic development and innovation in research city of São Paulo, Brazil at the time of the tropical climate for the ROOMVENT 2014.
Message from the President
In October 2014, in São Paulo, we will have the
opportunity to establish a remarkable meeting for the promotion of actions
aimed at improving the quality of the environments of buildings and aircrafts.
The 13th SCANVAC International Conference on Air Distribution
in Rooms organized by
Institute for Technology Research (IPT),
University of São Paulo (USP),
Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and University of the State of
North Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro (UENF), on behalf of
SCANVAC (Scandinavian Federation of Heating, Ventilating and Sanitary
Engineering Associations).
New technologies and ventilation strategies for low energy consumption,
passive houses and zero emission buildings. Through a comprehensive view of
the concept of indoor environment and addressing enclosed spaces occupied by
people in general (housing, commercial buildings and vehicles) in which the
movement and air exchange have a critical role in comfort, health and safety
of human beings, as well as energy efficiency and sustainability of
buildings.
Besides the effects and modeling of physical-chemical-biological
phenomenon processes involved, will also be addressed aspects of construction
of buildings and vehicles, their systems and HVAC control and
interaction between interior and exterior spaces. Also to be presented at the
workshop on the ASHRAE Chapter in Brazil.
We will be in São Paulo, a city with large
magnitudes for any country in the world. With more than 11,32 million
inhabitants, stands out as a city that lives intensely and "doesn't
stop." Having more than 150,000 seats for shows and concerts, 124 museums and
more than 15,000 theater and cinema seats. A great party! A great opportunity
to explore such alternative culture, discovering the city, its architecture
and its inhabitants. And to discuss the theme of the Congress: "New
strategies for technology-based ventilation in active and passive
constructions and aircraft comfort." A moment of reflection on the present
and future of buildings and aircrafts.
On behalf of the organizing committee we warmly invite you to join us in
the economic development and innovation in research in the city of
São Paulo, Brazil, at the moment of the tropical
climate for ROOMVENT 2014.
